New Trust Guard ‘Shopper Approved’ sneak peek!
Jan 6th, 2010 by Scott Brandley
If you’ve been following our posts, then you know that we’ve been working behind the scenes for several months on a really big project that we believe will change the way people do business online.
It’s called Shopper Approved.
Shopper Approved is a state-of-the-art customer rating and review service, specifically designed to help e-commerce websites effectively gather, and then prominently display customer feedback, in order to help entice, educate and motivate new potential customers to buy.
We’ve been running several live-beta tests over the last couple months, and the results have been nothing short of amazing, with nearly 1 out of every 2 customers providing initial ratings and/or reviews, and almost 1 out of every 3 customers opting-in to fill out a full survey once they receive their order!
People in our beta test are getting tons of great ratings, reviews and testimonials – all automatically! This is the kind of social proof every website needs.
We’re just about to officially open the doors, but before we do, we need your help in choosing the final seal design from 3 possible contenders.
Please select the overall seal design below that:
1 – you like the best, and
2 – that you think your customers will be most likely to respond to
Once again, thank you for your participation and ongoing support. On behalf of myself and everyone here at Trust Guard, I want you to know that we appreciate the opportunity to serve you, and we look forward to working with you in 2010!
Sincerely,
Scott Brandley, CEO
Trust Guard

This looks like a great idea – we’re currently using McAfee and not very happy with it for a number of reasons….this looks like it will give us the incentive to switch over.
Hi Scott & Trust Guard;
I choose the seal design with the shopping cart because that’s what it stands for.. SHOPPERS Approved! It shows how shoppers, that actually BUY approve of your site and/or services.
I can’t wait to have the “new” seal on our site.
I’m new here and am very happy with your services.
Regards;
Rockee Rhyan
AWESOME!!!!! I’ve been looking for something like this. You guys rock!
Great idea, bring it on!
I think you need to go for a more royal blue
All 3 designs are pretty hard to read
We have been looking for a simple feedback area to include on our site for two years. Terrific. Call me when it becomes available.
Looks great guys! I really like the cart icon!
Looks great. I really like the 5star emphasis.
Andy,
Thanks for your feedback. We plan on releasing and testing multiple colors.
Fantastic idea but to be honest, I hope you have other color options, that blue is kind of weird
Hi, Trust-Guard.
Great idea.

Looks pretty good. I’ll definitely be trying it out.
As nice as these 3 are I think you should come up with something that is much more eye catching. Blue is a hard color to read the text in. I, personally, don’t think these choices convey the message of “Shopper Approved”!
The cart says shopping to me, but I think you should try it with black tires and add some other colors to the seal. Thanks
Great idea but not really fond of any of the designs. Think they could look better. They just look like they are trying to display too much information in such a small space. I definitely think that the number of reviews and the stars stick out much more in the second one as they are below the seal and on a white background.
I think it’s a great idea! It falls in line with the overall business activity that Trust Guard is known for. Thanks.
Tony-
I have to say that I showed this around the office to the web designers and we had a hard time choosing. The cart style was chosen as the best of a bad bunch BUT therre is real worry about that cart icon being on there – it could easily distract from the add-to-cart button on a product page. If you could just remove that cart icon, using the space to make text bigger we think it would be a big improvement.
Tatiana,
There will be other color options. Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you for the new icons, I am looking to add them on our shopping cart.
Thanks,
Neil
